Summer Camp for Juniors in Cambridge (From 9 to 17 years)
This Programme is for young students looking for inspiration and learning in one of the world's most prestigious university cities. The programme offers English tuition with residential accommodation at Cambridge's Abbey College'.
Abbey College is a purpose-built, modern campus located just a 25-minute walk from the Cambridge’s historic centre. The students’ residence at the College is just a few steps away from a well-equipped, air-conditioned teaching block where learners build their confidence in English through engaging lessons and projects taught by friendly and enthusiastic teachers. Tasty and nutritious food is served in a bright, modern canteen opposite the teaching block. For students who would like to stay in homestay accommodation instead of staying in the Abbey College residence, they can be placed with host families around Cambridge, and join the other students for classes on the Abbey College campus. LSI Juniors’ activities programme takes full advantage of everything Cambridge has to offer and gives students the chance to practise their English and have fun outside of the classroom during social and cultural activities. Cambridge is ideally placed for exploring the best that the UK has to offer being located less than an hour from London and the beautiful Norfolk coastline is also within easy reach. At LSI Cambridge, we accept individual students and closed groups. LSI Education has courses for young students who want to live and learn the language in the heart of one of the UK’s most beautiful and cultural cities.

Punting on the River Cam - Cost £15
Punting on the river Cam is an absolute must for anyone visiting or staying in Cambridge. A relaxing trip down the river on a traditional flat bottomed boat (or punt) gives you the best view of the beautiful and historic college buildings. Those feeling brave can even try ‘punting’ themselves, pushing the punt down the river using a long stick on the bottom of the shallow river. With six people to a punt, this ever popular activity also allows plenty of opportunity to make friends and chat.
Cambridge Shakespeare Festival - Cost £18
Every year, students from the University of Cambridge stage a selection of Shakespeare's most famous plays against a backdrop of stunning gardens. Running throughout July and August the productions themselves are vivid and spectacular, and are performed in full period costume with live Elizabethan music. Prior to the performance, members of the audience can picnic in this idyllic setting, before sitting back to enjoy an evening of dynamic and highly visual theatre. A truly unique and unforgettable experience!
Pub tour - Free
Cambridge has more pubs per mile than any other city in the UK and these form an important part of the city’s history and culture. Each week a teacher will take you to different pubs in the city, whether it is the ever popular Flying Pig, the Eagle (Cambridge’s first theatre and where the discovery of DNA was announced) or the haunted Pickerel with its secret tunnels to the colleges, you are guaranteed to have an interesting evening as well as the chance to relax, chat and try a variety of traditional English drinks and snacks.
